We seek out creative and motivated individuals who are looking for a top-level, intensive and progressive training; either to enter the industry, or to invigorate their profile with an enhanced skillset. We take a maximum of 16 actors each year for our successful Advanced Intensive Acting Diploma training. 

Our audition-process is focussed around you; whether you initially send in self-tapes followed by online interview, or come into GFCA to audition for us in person. There are no stressful group sessions, no impersonal yes/no lists, and we charge no fees for auditioning for GFCA.

The course is challenging, with intensive training in acting, movement and voice throughout each of the 5 terms; increasingly specialised sessions and in-depth rehearsals lead up to each in-house and public showing. The programme is designed in 3 units, to allow space for personal projects in between. GFCA maintains excellent links with the Industry both in the UK and Internationally, and we are proud to be members of the Spotlight Graduate scheme.

After the course, we maintain contact with many of our graduated students through our alumni membership scheme, providing ongoing advice and support – and we have an excellent and growing track-record of industry successes.

Our actors are appearing on the National Theatre stage, in the West End, and at the Barbican; roles with the Royal Shakespeare company; series-regular roles in many popular TV series; and in feature films. Increasingly, our alumni also develop their own initiatives, using skills they have acquired during training –  to write, to develop, to direct and to produce their own film and live performance projects.
