Sessions for PROFESSIONAL ACTORS

Sessions for PROFESSIONAL ACTORS are offered to give professionally-trained and experienced actors the opportunity to keep tuned in when not working, to run through audition pieces, work on specific acting problems they have encountered and continue to develop their range and abilities as expressive artists. They are led either by Giles Foreman, or Grant Masters – and the technique draws on the work of Strasberg, Meisner, Uta Hagen and Stella Adler.

The GFCA offers Professional Actor weekend INTENSIVE ACTING workshops expressly for professionally-trained and experienced actors, who are invited to join us at GFCA in London for an acting workout – ideal for those who want to keep their acting muscles flexed, develop their skills, work through audition material and prepare roles etc.

Committing to a block of classes can be difficult for the actor given the unpredictable nature of the business, and these workshops are ideal as they can be booked individually.

Professional Actor weekends are offered monthly, 10.30 – 6pm. Please see Dates and Special Events for current dates.

After acceptance into the members group, we ask you to book in by 5 pm on Tuesday of that week, in order to manage numbers.

Outside the class structure, Giles and other acting coaches may be booked for 1-1 coaching, for auditions, self-tapes and character-development – please enquire, for further information.

In order to apply to join the scheme, actors must first send their Spotlight link. Email Registration

ACTING FOR PROFESSIONALS

Join us at GFCA London for an evening acting workout – ideal for those who want to keep their acting muscles flexed, develop their skills, work through audition material and prepare roles etc.

Committing to a block of classes can be difficult for the actor given the unpredictable nature of the business – we offer members-only sessions, available by invitation

The work mainly deals with realistic acting processes. It encourages actors to push their limits, increase their capacity to use themselves and open up, to enhance their creative abilities in rehearsal through exploring impulses, to develop complex and layered characters, to rigorously dissect text and to come to rehearsal or set thoroughly prepared. The class tends to be a mixture of exercises and scene work. Everyone contributes to feedback and the general atmosphere is one of serious fun. As we all know, acting can be a terribly frustrating and isolated profession – so what better than a workout! Many projects have been created out of these sessions.

Outside of these sessions, Giles or other GFCA acting-coaches may be available for 1-1 coaching/self-tape/audition preparation. Please enquire.

In order to apply to join the scheme, actors must first send their C.V or Spotlight link. Email Registration
